The Role

We are looking for a knowledgeable and highly skilled Senior FP Scala Software Engineer used to working with Apache Kafka, to join our team of experienced Scala Engineers.

• Be part of the backend teams to work on various products
• Relevant technologies include (Apache Kafka, Scala, ZIO, zio-http, Caliban)
• Write high-quality code, unit tests and integration tests
• Work collaboratively with your team i.e. Github PRs with multiple reviewers, Weekly Team Meetings, Slack, Google Meet
• Write ADRs with the other engineers to discuss the best solutions to a problem
• Take ownership of different subjects and/or sub-projects
• Help the younger engineers to grow

Skills & Experience

• Experience in building software with Scala and knowledge about pure FP.
• Functional Programming large exposure (we're using ZIO all over the way)
• Years working with Apache Kafka and its extensions (Kafka Connect, Streams, etc.)
• Be open-minded, criticize existing code constructively and suggest alternatives.
• (Optional) Experience with monorepos
