The Role
As a Software Engineer at Flowie, you will play a crucial role in designing and building robust backend systems. Your work will ensure that our platform consistently delivers exceptional performance and reliability for all our users.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop backend services using Scala within a microservice architecture, incorporating technologies like Apache Pulsar and Postgres.
- Manage data effectively and ensure seamless integration with frontend systems and third-party services.
- Collaborate with frontend engineers to create efficient APIs and optimize backend-to-frontend interactions.
- Follow best practices in backend development, including code quality, security, testing, and performance optimization.
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
- Work closely with product and design teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest backend technologies and trends to keep our platform cutting-edge.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of professional experience in backend development.
- Proficiency in JVM or a functional programming language, with a strong interest in learning Scala.
- Good understanding of API design, microservices architecture, and server-side technologies.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a remote environment.
- Fluent in English; additional European languages are a plus.
