Your place in the team

For these game-changing challenges, we are looking for a self-driven and product-loving Senior Scala Developer (m/f/d) to join us in designing the future of everyday transportation. You will be part of our cross-functional platform team solving key challenges around connecting millions of Internet of Things devices in electric kickscooters, bikes, mopeds or cars with a modern scala architecture.

What you would be working on

• You will be part of discoveries trying to understand and solve problems together with backend engineers, IoT project managers, and product managers in your team.
• You will implement solutions that have been defined together with your team in the discovery process during two weekly sprints.
• You will help working on key challenges improving the reliability of IoT connections

This team is using currently following tech stack:

Backend: Scala / Akka, Cassandra, Kafka, Kubernetes

You think our stack is outdated? Challenge us and propose a new technology that might spice up our tech stack.

Qualifications that are important to us

• Long-year experience with Scala and Akka
• Good understanding of asynchronous and concurrent programming patterns
• Ownership on the entire application lifecycle
• Streaming is for you more than using Netflix
• Strong team and communications skills
• Ability to understand and evolve distributed systems
• Experience with distributed systems or microservices architectures
