Join an impact-driven organization delivering innovative digital healthcare services to communities in developing countries. We’re looking for a Lead Scala Engineer who can combine technical excellence with supportive leadership to help us build scalable, reliable platforms that improve lives.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and mentor a team of 2 engineers, including career growth, performance reviews, and regular 1:1 follow-ups.
- Stay hands-on in coding with Scala, Cats, and Cats Effect.
- Design and deliver scalable systems on AWS.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful, high-quality solutions.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, learning, and continuous improvement.
What We’re Looking For
- 1–2 years of leadership experience (team lead, tech lead, or similar).
- Strong background in Scala with production experience using Cats and Cats Effect.
- Solid knowledge of AWS infrastructure and services.
- Excellent mentoring and communication skills.
- Based in Europe, with a preference for candidates in Portugal, Poland, or Hungary (not open to candidates in Sweden or Italy).
