About your role in our FIAP team:
As a Senior Scala Engineer (m/f/x), you will build and extend TTMzero’s multi-tenant Financial Instruments Automation Platform (FIAP). We are processing hundreds of thousands of financial products on behalf of manufactures enabling them to automate their issuance production chain and product maintenance.
Your team is responsible for systems that compute financial risk and cost metrics, generate documents and regulatory reportings, and distribute product data to data vendors and consumers, exchanges, regulatory authorities and other market participants. The FIAP services help investment banks and asset managers meet strict regulatory and compliance requirements allowing them to offer their products in the EU and other global markets.
As a Senior Scala Engineer (m/f/x) you will join a cross-functional team working towards bi-weekly sprint goals alongside your teammates; full-stack developers, frontend developer, QA engineers, DevOps and product owner.
What you will do
- Design and implement modern microservice applications
- Maintain, develop and scale a microservice architecture of Scala and Java applications
- Take ownership of your work and ensure high quality
- Collaborate closely with the Product Owner and the Customer Success team
- Work in an agile environment and an international team
- Contribute to growing team members through providing guidance, mentorship
- Participate in the team's continuous improvement process
Your Profile
- 5+ years professional experience in a senior developer role
- 3+ years professional experience with Scala
- Experience with a Scala functional stack like Typelevel/Cats or ZIO
- Experienced in building containerized cloud applications with Kubernetes and AWS or a similar cloud platform
- Experience with building event driven architecture (preferably with Kafka)
- Solid understanding of NoSQL databases and relational databases like MongoDB and Postgres or similar
- Quality advocate, experience with TDD
- Fluent communication in English, German is a plus
- Experience in working with agile methodologies in a cross-functional team
- Motivated team player, keen to receive and give feedback in pairing and code review sessions
